Ediscalo

Introduction

Ediscalo is an amalgam of the latin words Edisco and Alo. Edisco is to learn by heart, learn thoroughly, and commit to memory. Alo is to nourish, feed, rear, cherish, educate, sustain, support, maintain, keep, and strengthen. As human beings, we should strive to always learn, always improve, and always grow. Learning never stops, and it should be treasured and nourished.

In this same vein, the way we are educated is stagnant and almost obsolete. We inhabit a world that changes daily, and that change is increasing exponentially. What are we doing to keep up? To stay relevant? To improve? Does learning stop when we leave school and launch into adulthood?

Purpose

  • To reimagine what it means to be educated.
  • To provide support to people on educational journeys.
  • To grow and improve myself and help others do the same.
  • To work to solve interesting and challenging problems in the realm of education.
  • To connect with anyone who is passionate about growing and learning.

With this site, I hope to encourage, nurture, and strengthen learning.
